USFK Commander Honors Korean War Veterans, Reaffirms Unshakeable Alliance at Seoul Banquet
The event gathered veterans, former commanders, and current leaders to express profound gratitude for the sacrifices made more than seven decades ago. By inviting veterans back to the peninsula, the banquet provided an opportunity to reflect on shared history and showcase the thriving, modern nation that their service helped secure.

The banquet served to strengthen alliance visibility and deliver a clear message of appreciation, remembrance, and continued partnership between the Republic of Korea, the United States, and United Nations sending states. The gathering underscored the enduring commitment that continues to bind the coalition together today.
The Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs hosted the event, alongside U.S. Ambassador to the ROK Michelle Steel and leadership from KDVA and KUSAF. The evening also welcomed former UNC Commanders Gen. (Ret.) Robert Abrams, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Paul J. LaCamera, and Gen. (Ret.) Burwell B. Bell.
Most importantly, the banquet recognized seven Korean War veterans and 21 former UNC and USFK servicemembers and their families, ensuring their historic contributions to the peninsula are never forgotten.
